How often is data updated in Visibility Analysis and Rank Tracker?

Visibility Analysis and Rank Tracker are modules that let you analyze and monitor a domain’s keywords and their positions in Google.

Written by Martyna Majda

Visibility Analysis and Rank Tracker collect data in different ways. The first module shows a domain’s visibility across the entire keyword database, while the second measures the positions of the keywords you choose every day.

Visibility Analysis

The Polish Visibility Analysis database, both 1.0 and 2.0, covers well over ten million keywords. Every day we refresh part of it, not all keywords at once.

  • Criterion: keyword popularity. Each keyword belongs to one of the groups with a target refresh interval: every 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. The assignment is based on the average monthly search volume. The most popular keywords are refreshed most often, and keywords with low or zero search volume least often.

  • The intervals are targets. The actual time between measurements depends on the current data collection capacity, so we cannot guarantee the exact measurement date for a specific keyword. You can check the current refresh rate of the database at komunikat.senuto.com/dane.

  • Keyword measurement date. Hover over a keyword’s history chart to see the dates of its measurements. You can check a keyword’s popularity in the “keyword search volume” column.

How are daily values calculated (TOP3, TOP10, TOP50, visibility)?

We recalculate domain statistics every day based on the most recently collected position of each keyword in the database. The TOP10 value for a given day is the number of keywords for which the latest available measurement showed the domain in positions 1–10. TOP3 and TOP50 are calculated the same way.

This means that the data shown for a single date comes from measurements taken on different days. The visibility chart works best for assessing trends over time, not for comparing individual days.

Rank Tracker

  • Daily measurement. We check the positions of the keywords added to a project every day, starting from the day the project is created.

  • When to use it. If you need positions from a specific day for selected keywords, use Rank Tracker. You’ll find a detailed position history in the Positions History report.
