You will find this tool under the key icon in Visibility Analysis.

There are three modes of analysis:

  1. Common keywords ‒ keywords for which both your website and your competitors’ websites are ranked

  2. Keywords unique to competitors ‒ keywords for which your competitors’ websites are ranked, but yours isn’t

  3. Keywords unique to your website ‒ keywords for which your website is ranked, but your competitors’ websites aren’t

Competition Analysis uses 2.5 million keywords. This means that a list of, for instance, common keywords is based on a limited keyword database. It may happen that a list of common keywords is longer, though the tool failed to show a keyword since it’s not included in Keyword Explorer.

To run an analysis, choose:

  1. One of the modes

  2. Websites which positions you want to compare

  3. Range of positions

As a result, you’ll get a table containing keywords that follow the rule and presenting positions of websites compared.

You may compare more than two websites. To add another one, click Add domain+.

Should you want to analyze a report in Excel, export it in a .csv file:

You’ve learned how to compare sets of keywords for which your website and your competitors’ websites are visible. Proceed to Competition Analysis and identify keywords for which your competition is ranked, but you aren’t.
