In this article I will guide you step by step through the process of adding a summary of your project's statistics to the report in Data Studio.

GDS integration is available in the Premium and Professional plans. Do you want to have access to this integration without upgrading? Contact us about it by chat or [email protected] :)

Step 1: Go through the authorization process and select the project you want us to collect data from.

The whole process is described here.

Step 2: Add a scorecard to the report.

Step 3: Set the data source to "Project - Statistics (p_sta_*)".

Step 4: Select which data you want to present in the summary.

You can select all variables with the prefix p_sta_*. If you select a variable with a different prefix, the system will not work properly because the prefix must match the previously selected data source.

In this case, I chose the "p_sta_top10" option, which means that I will present the number of keywords in the TOP10.

Data that you can present in the statistics:

Variable

Interpretation

p_sta_organic_visibility

Current visibility

p_sta_X_Y

The number of keywords for which the domain is visible on positions ranging from x to y

p_sta_topZ

The number of phrases for which the domain is visible on the positions from 1 to Z

p_sta_wins

p_sta_lost

p_sta_no_change

The number of keywords, the position of which increased, decreased or did not change in relation to the previous day.

p_sta_avg_pos

Average position

p_sta_out50

Number of keywords with a position greater than 50.

p_sta_organic_potential

The maximum monthly traffic that a domain can generate from the monitored keywords.

p_sta_organic_potential_percent

The percentage of traffic that the domain generates from the maximum potential from the monitored words.

p_sta_keywords_count

Number of keywords added to the project.

p_sta_budget

An estimated amount to be spent in Google Ads to generate the same traffic as the one generated by SEO efforts. The amount is estimated on the basis of traffic from keywords for which the website is ranked 1–10.

_prev: Adding _prev to the variable means that the variable refers to the previous day, e.g. p_sta_1_3_prev means the number of phrases in positions 1-3 of the previous day.

Step 5: Rename the variable.

If you want the statistics to display the name "TOP10" instead of "p_vis_top10", change the name of the variable by clicking on the pencil sign marked below.

To add more statistics, repeat the steps described earlier.

Step 6: Display the report.

If you add a date picker to the report in Data Studio you will be able to change the date of the displayed statistics e.g. if you want to check the number of phrases in TOP10 for the previous month, you will be able to do so by selecting the appropriate date in the date picker. Remember that if you use variables with the suffix "_prev", the statistics will refer to the statistics prior to the day you selected in the date picker.

Done! You have added a summary of the project's statistics to the report!
